When we arrived, we found out that our specifically requested room had been inadvertently given to someone else with a similar name. We had fallen in love with this particular suite online, and were only there 2 nights, so didn't want to compromise. It took 2 hours, but Hotel Lido did the right thing and contacted the couple they had put in the room, explained the situation (that goodness we had our Booked.net receipt!), and moved them into another suite and let us have the one we'd requested. It was the right thing for them to do, and they could have so easily refused. It showed us their character, and we were so pleased they handled it this way. Our room was fabulous!!
We were not thrilled that our room had been accidentally given away...but at least the problem was handled as it should have been. The only other issue was that they charge way too much for an "extra bed", which we needed. Most places charge 50 or so Euro (roughly $70 a night), but Hotel Lido wanted $211 for the 2 nights!! And the worst part was, the "extra bed", which was simply a big, lush chair that pulled out to a single, was already in the room! In fact, there were two!!! But they wouldn't provide us with "sheets" or a "pillow" unless we paid this amount. We refused. So my husband just slept on it anyway without sheets!!! That seemed real silly...they need to come down on their price for this, and be along the same lines as everyone else...

Cool old-fashioned place with good and amazing location not far from main train station, and Carrara and the Mabel mines. Extra care from the amazing friendly stuff. Delicious and great breakfast, a good choice of meals;))
Wi-Fi was very poor.

It was a quiet hotel in a very nice area, so close to the train station, the sea, and Portofino and Cestri Levante. We thoroughly enjoyed the extremely spacious room with a wonderful seafront view. - the staff were really good. - A safe box, a minibar, and central heating worked well.

A great hotel right next to the beach with a great view of the sea and mountainside.
The owners spoke barely any English. We were still able to communicate without any isssues and they were very polite.

The staff at the Lido were gentle, kind and attentive to all of our needs including asking their son to drive us 30 Km to the connecting train station. we dined 3 nights in their dining room and had excellent meals. We preferred to stay in this quiet location and catch the train (150M to the station) to the Cinque Terre towns, about 15 Minutes away. if we holiday again at Cinque Terre we would stay at the Lido.

Our experience was extremely positive. The room was clean, spacious, and the the air conditioning excellent. The staff were extremely helpful. Location was perfect with train station very close by that went to the places we were there to see. The view from our room was beautiful with the sea in one direction and the mountains in another. It was a pleasure to be staying there.

A very modern hotel, but with a small country feel. Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Seemed to be family operated. Although not geared up to deal with laundry, on request, they washed, pressed and returned some clothes overnight at a very modest cost.

Everywhere was exceptionally clean. the room was really large and good. - the bed was comfortable. - the hotel was very close to private beaches, other train stations, and the sea. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lido in Deiva Marina. the cleanliness of the entire hotel was exceptional, and my room was spacious and well-equipped with a personal safe, air conditioner, and a mini-bar. the comfortable bed and the presence of a bath added to the pleasant experience. the hotel's proximity to private beaches, train stations, and the sea made it very convenient for exploring the area.
